Postdoctoral Position - Computational Neuroimaging
Aufgaben:
We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Neuroimaging with focus on imaging genetics/transcriptomics to join the research group of Prof. Dr. Christine Ecker in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Universitätsmedizin Frankfurt. The successful applicant will be involved in research projects focusing on the integration of multi-modal human magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data and genetic and/or transcriptomic data in the context of neurodevelopmental conditions.
Conduct state-of-the-art research into the molecular underpinnings of neurodevelopmental conditions and work as part of a DFG-funded study entitled 'Transcriptomic Subtyping of Imaging-derived phenotypes in autism' ( https://gepris-extern.dfg.de/gepris/projekt/551579379 ).
Develop novel analytical approaches for integrating neuroimaging and genetic data; disseminate resulting software for use within the wider scientific community.
Apply these novel analytical techniques to existing large-scale imaging genetics cohorts (clinical and non-clinical).
Teaching and supervision activities, knowledge dissemination, and publication of results in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Qualifikationen:
Ph.D in Bioinformatics, I T/ Computer Science, or Software Engineering
Interest in big data analytics, and solid programming skills in R, C++, Python o r MATLAB.
Knowledge in (i) computational neuroimaging techniques and analysis using software packages like FreeSurfer, and/or (ii) expertise in conducting genetic analyses; e.g. Genome-Wise Association Studies (GWAS) and computation of polygenic risk scores (PRS).
Experience in machine learning / artificial intelligence is desired
Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required.
