Post-doctoral Researcher - Functional epigenomics in leukemia (m/f/d)
Lead or participate in research projects involving epigenetic mechanisms driving human leukemia using state-of-the-art multidisciplinary molecular techniques including:
Standard wet lab techniques, including molecular cloning, DNA/RNA/protein detection, immunoprecipitation, cell culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry, RNA interference, gene editing, retro- or lentiviral transduction, etc.
Advanced methods coupled with next generation sequencing (NGS), such as ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&TAG, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CLIP/eCLIP, HiC/capture HiC
NGS data analysis and interpretation
Ex vivo or in vivo tumor modelling
Internal and external collaborations to achieve the fulfillment of research goals
Supervisory duties on junior members in the lab
Attending and presenting research data at local, national and international seminars or meetings
Summarizing work results for scientific publications
Adequate professional qualifications:
Completion of Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent doctorate degree in life science
Extensive research training in molecular biology, cell biology, epigenetics or relevant disciplines
Documented experience through scientific publications
Knowledge in tumor biology and RNA biology would be a plus
First-hand experience in gene gain- or loss-of-function and NGS methods would be highly desired
Enthusiasm for engaging in cancer research and awareness of the translational significance of research work
Capability of working independently as well as good spirit of team working
Openness to personal growth and ongoing learning initiatives
Competence in interpersonal communication, presentation, and scientific writing
