Medical Informatics Scientist (we are targeting applicants of all genders) Full time | initially limited to 2 years | Announcement number: 308-2021 We are seeking a motivated Medical Computer Scientist to work in our Medical Informatics Group (MIG) team, starting from the earliest possible date. The Medical Informatics Group was founded in January 2016 at the University Hospital Frankfurt. With its expertise, the MIG acts as mediator between medical/clinical problems and IT solutions. The research activities of the MIG focus on applied research and development projects from various areas of medical informatics. Your tasks will include performing research within the framework of a large national joint project (MIRACUM) with focus on the networking of data integration centres at university hospitals. The main goal of this project is to make the multitude of clinical data usable for innovative research projects via modular, scalable, and federated data integration centres. Another part of the project includes software development of a web-based software called ProSkive. You can find more information about the activities of MIRACUM at https://www.miracum.org.   Your role: Conception and development of software modules for ProSkive Analysis of requirements, implementation, and introduction of software into the clinical processes of cooperation partners Interdisciplinary cooperation with scientists from medicine and computer science as well as with medical doctors from patient care Coordination of (research) projects and their representation in Germany and abroad Preparation of project proposals and reports as well as scientific publications Participation in conferences and workshops in Germany and abroad Who you are: You have a completed (master's) degree in (medical, business, bio) computer science or a comparable qualification. Experience in software development as well as basic knowledge of web frontend development is preferred. Practical and/or project experience in (medical) IT research is preferred. Interest in medical-IT research projects. You are a communicative team player with a good knowledge of English. You have at least a basic knowledge of German and you are ready to improve.
