Business Development Manager* for our Business Unit Pharma

Your Contribution

As Business Development Manager, you are responsible for all aspects of the business development of our glass syringe product portfolio and with your entrepreneurial actions, you boost it in the Asian and European market. In this position …
  • You identify and acquire new customers for glass syringes in the biotech sector and  support cross-selling for high value products for established accounts. Therefore, it is important to understand the clients challenges for their drug formulation and develop a solution using your technical expertise.
  • You grow into the role of a technical expert for glass syringes and other supportive functions to enable growth with our innovative products
  • You continually enhance your understanding of market trends and conditions in order to stay ahead of the competition through comprehensive action plans that focus on fostering new business 
  • You closely cooperate in a global cross functional team involving sales, product management, R&D, quality and customer service. Moreover, you develop targeted roadshows together with market intelligence, sales, marketing and local agents within biotech hubs in Asia and Europe
  • You participate and present in tradeshows and seminars in order to showcase SCHOTT expertise with customers and partners
  • Besides the mentioned above, you gain valuable experience in preparing rolling forecasts and budgets. Overall, you ensure the attainment of Company goals through strategic planning and long-term objectives.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s  Degree in Science (e.g. Bioscience, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Biology) Engineering or Business Administration Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business development or related functions within a B2B environment of an international organization
  • Demonstrated project management skills, strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • You have a high level of result orientation, entrepreneurship and, at the same time, enjoy forward and creative thinking
  • You are a proactive team player with strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Business fluent in English is a must, further language skills (e.g. Korean) are a plus
  • Willingness to travel (20-40%)
Furthermore, it’s a plus if you are familiar with:
  • Fill and finish operations for parenteral drugs 
  • The latest innovative trends for drug development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Expertise about primary packaging used for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in working with customers, partners and agents in Asia
